The City of Los Angeles’ Annual Growth and Infrastructure Review required by law, has not been produced since 1998.

The La Brea Willoughby Coalition has grave concerns central to the Housing Element Framework approval and Community Plan(s) updates. These plans continue to perpetuate policies and approve developments without the required determination and monitoring of infrastructure to support such developments.

Lucille Saunders and the La Brea Willoughby Coalition have therefore filed a law suit against the city for failing to perform its mandatory duties set forth in the General Plan

LA BREA-WILLOUGHBY COALITION is an organization of concerned homeowners and residents of all social and economic strata who strongly oppose the La Brea Gateway Project.

The Martin Group and Bomel Company have developed the project, a building of seven stories—two commercial, two comprised of 219 residential units, and three above-ground parking area (along with one underground). The rezoning would eliminate yet another piece of fast-disappearing industrial property and jobs — with a devastating effect on the city's economy. The proposed project is completely incompatible with this neighborhood of one- and two-story residences.
